I believe that Carlton will not be able to attend the dance in the next chapter. Carlton has shown poor behavior at home. He has not completed his homework and he has sassed his mother and father on a routine basis. I know when I sass my parents, I usually get in a lot of trouble and have a privilege taken away. In addition, Carlton hopes to attend the dance with some friends that his parents do not approve of. Both Bobby and Erik have made many poor choices recently. Therefore, in my opinion, it is very unlikely that Carlton will be allowed to attend the dance.
